Call for Poster Abstracts

The AACMD invites submissions of abstracts for poster presentation at the 16th scientific meeting (International Congress on Orofacial Pain: ICOP2016 in Yokohama).



1. Requirements for submitting poster abstracts

  • The first author should be a member of AACMD or a non-member who is sponsored by an AACMD member.

  • The presenting author of an accepted abstract must register for the meeting and is required to be present at the requested time by the organizing scientific committee.

  • In order to standardize the abstract layout we ask you to follow the guidelines carefully. Please feel free to email any questions to icop2016@assiste-j.com.



2. Submission Deadline

  • All abstracts must be submitted before July 11, 2016, noon (Japanese time).
     Period extended until July 29, 2016, noon (Japanese time)

3. Guidelines for preparation and submission of abstracts

  • Abstracts should be submitted online via this site.

  • Acceptance notification will be sent to presenting author within 3 weeks of submission.

  • All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.

  • Any poster abstracts that have been submitted to the WCP2016 may not be submitted.

  • All abstracts should be specifically prepared for the 16th AACMD scientific meeting (ICOP2016).

  • The abstract format is as follows:
    The text should consist of
    Objective, Materials & Methods, Results, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, Funding Source and COI (Basic and Clinical researches) and Objective, Case(s) Results, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, Funding Source and COI (Case report)

    Word limit is 180 words for the text.

  • Tables, charts or other graphics may not be included

  • After having submitted your abstract, you will automatically receive a registration number of the abstract. Please confirm your ID number and password that appear on the screen, too.

  • You need these essential items (registration number, ID and password) when you contact the office regarding your abstract or edit your submitted abstract online.

  • Submitted abstracts may be edited before July 11. After this date, no changes will be allowed including information of authors.

4. Guidelines for Poster Presentationn.

  • Posters should be no larger than 80cm wide by 120cm long (31inches wide x 47inches long). Please note that the poster format is different from that of the WCP2016.

  • Pins will be provided for you to affix your poster to the display boards. Velcro tapes are not allowed.

  • Each poster must have a top label indicating the title of the paper, the names of the authors and their affiliations. The size of the characters for the title should be at least one inch high.

  • You may hand out information sheets to those viewing your poster. However, you are not allowed to use computers or displays.
